The Trient Valley, offering incredible majestic views across the highest peak in Europe, is a beautiful and dramatic background for this walking trip. Your trip starts in Chamonix, nestled in a bustling valley at the foot of the highest mountain in Europe.

An incredible walk through the most scenic area of, perhaps, the most beautiful country in Europe - Small Inns, Alpine Lakes, Mountains, Castles - all in a country that has taken coffee to the level of art... There are 76 lakes in the Salzkammergut region. Some of them are known for the towns like St. Wolfgang, Mondsee and Gmunden on their shores, while others are solitary and hidden. Your route will take you over mountains and across lakes, past natural spectacles and famous places.

Florence, the city of Leonardo, Giotto, Dante, Brunellesch,i and Siena, native land of the "Palio". These two jewels have in common the fact that they belong to one of the most famous areas of the Tuscany: "the wine road", that you will cross leaving Castellina in Chianti and walking along paths and roads surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.

Explore Naples with its tiny streets and alleyways, its artistic treasures and its storied intrigues. Climb Mt Vesuvius and peer down into the crater of an active volcano with steam still streaming up endlessly from the underground. Walk the streets of Herculaneum and Pompeii buried almost 2000 years ago in mud and ash and as a result preserved just as they were. See Roman life from its bath house to its wine bars and even a 2000 year old political poster painted onto the side of a building. Take a ferry to Capri, an island in the Bay of Naples where you can visit the Blue Grotto and see how the Emperor Tiberius lived. Walk the ridge of the Amalfi Peninsula with the Bay of Naples on your right and the Gulf of Salerno on your left. Visit Amalfi, Ravello and Positano and perhaps take a swim.

Exploring the Vosges - The History and Nature

A jaunt of several days in the Northern Vosges Regional Nature Reserve, classed as a world nature site by the UNESCO Biosphere, will make you feel myriad new sensations or sensations you'd simply forgotten. As you travel along shaded trails you will discover the numerous ancient churches, the fortified castles, the military remains of the Maginot Line, the sandstone summits covered with magnificent forests of fir, beech or pine and the lively little hamlets with their master crystal makers and stone carvers. Discover this overwhelmingly beautiful landscape with the help of numerous cable cars that  bring you up close to spectacular  peaks,  thundering waterfalls, crystal alpine lakes and wild flower meadows. Exceptional alpine flora and fauna to excite the interest of any nature lovers, butterflies, marmots, chamois and the Royal eagle are just some of the amazing species you may encounter. Starting in the German speaking Bernese Oberland and continuing through the French speaking Vaudois Alps, this is one of the most classic of Swiss walking areas.

The Heart of Pembrokeshire: This trail provides a wonderful opportunity for walkers to discover the highlights of the South Pembrokeshire countryside and coast. The trail follows the Coast Path south through the small resort village of Saundersfoot, along the coast to Tenby, a splendid example of a medieval walled town, with narrow cobbled streets, and numerous cafes and pubs.  The pretty village of Manorbier boasts a well-preserved medieval castle, impressive Norman church and the King's Quoit, a Neolithic cromlech.  passing through the tiny village of Carew with its impressive castle, Celtic cross, tidal mill and medieval bridge. The path continues beside sun-dappled waterways dotted with small villages with waterside pubs and tearooms and on through a track of  ancient woodland, before returning to Narberth, a great place to wander through shops and galleries.

Amroth to Pembroke: This section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path features stunning cliff top views of sea and sky, charming seaside villages, and several remains of Norman strongholds, such as the well-preserved castle at Manorbier, which overlooks the picturesque village, and commands extensive views over the beach and sea. The route winds past some of the area's loveliest, secluded beaches, to the National Trust's Stackpole Estate and the tiny harbor at Stackpole Quay. Beyond the ecologically unique Bosherston lily ponds lie the beautiful beaches of Barafundle and Broad Haven South. The adventure ends in Pembroke, which features another fine Norman castle, lovely millpond walks, and the entertaining Museum of the Home.
